1. Canadian ownership
Sorbtree Corporation is a Canadian corporation and is Canadian owned. Strategic product decisions, intellectual-property stewardship, and corporate control remain with Sorbtree Corporation in Canada.
Sorbtree does not represent that Canadian ownership alone resolves every customer requirement relating to procurement, privacy, security, foreign laws, beneficial ownership, supply chain, or data sovereignty. Those requirements should be assessed in the context of the selected service and agreement.
2. Product development
Sorbtree is developed as a Canadian service delivery platform for governed, record-centred operations. The platform is designed to support organizations that need workflows to combine automation, human judgment, workload management, lifecycle controls, reporting, and traceability.
Sorbtree may use third-party software, infrastructure, development tools, open-source components, and service providers. Canadian ownership does not mean every technology used by Sorbtree originates in Canada.
3. Canadian hosting
Sorbtree's standard hosted offering is designed around Canadian data-residency priorities. For a hosted customer environment, the applicable order, architecture, or security schedule should identify the agreed hosting model, region, tenancy, backup approach, and administrative responsibilities.
Customers with strict residency or sovereignty requirements should confirm whether those requirements apply only to primary customer data or also to backups, logs, support records, monitoring data, email, identity services, disaster-recovery environments, and administrative access.
4. Deployment options
Canadian cloud
A Sorbtree-operated hosted environment designed for Canadian residency priorities.
Dedicated cloud
A dedicated environment for customers requiring stronger isolation or customer-specific controls.
Customer-hosted or on-premises
A deployment on infrastructure approved and operated by or for the customer.
Air-gapped or restricted
A deployment pattern for environments that require limited or no external connectivity.
Availability, pricing, operational responsibility, update processes, support arrangements, and technical requirements vary by deployment model.
5. Data residency and administrative access
Data residency describes where information is stored or processed. Data sovereignty and foreign-access risk may also depend on corporate ownership, service-provider jurisdiction, support access, encryption and key management, legal process, network architecture, and the customer's own systems.
Sorbtree works with customers to document the intended deployment and responsibility model. Specific commitments concerning data location, administrative access, subprocessors, incident notification, backup, deletion, or cross-border processing must be stated in the applicable agreement.
6. Procurement and assurance documentation
Sorbtree can discuss reasonable ownership, hosting, architecture, privacy, security, accessibility, and deployment questions during procurement or solution design. The level of documentation available may depend on the deployment, confidentiality requirements, commercial stage, and applicable agreement.
Customers should not rely solely on this public statement where a formal contractual commitment, legal opinion, security assessment, or procurement certification is required.
7. Changes and contact
Sorbtree may update this statement if its ownership, hosting services, providers, deployment models, or operational practices change. Customer-specific commitments remain governed by the applicable agreement.
